Trade Frank Francisco for Johnny Damon? WHIR

H2H Keeper League (keep 7 each year)
6x6 (OPS/HLD)

Hey all! In a keeper league here where we keep 7. This trade wouldn't affect my keepers at all as i wouldn't keep either of them....but it could help me this year. If you'll notice Francisco is my only closer...so i usually still lose that category. I've tried to trade for another closer to compliment him but asking prices are high....and now he's hurt so i'm thinking of just punting saves and going big on holds. I've been offered Johnny Damon for him....who could boost me in several categories the way he's playing. What do you all think? :-o

If you are comfortable punting saves and strong in enough other cats, I'd consider doing this. Damon would be a decent bolster to your offense.

I don't like the idea of punting categories but sometimes it makes sense. Here it seems to make sense. It's H2H, you only have 1 closer, and he's hurt and has been hurt most of the year. There likely will be a couple more new closers available at some point, so you have to consider that. It's a solid deal, if you're committed to punting saves.

I'd make the trade and still not punt the category. This week alone you could pick up both Madson and Bailey in a lot of leagues for cheap saves. I think it's a good return for an average closer who also has the aforementioned injury issue, and you may find some saves here and there yet.
