Tiex for David Wright???

Postby Tenacious D-Store » Fri Jun 12, 2009 4:39 pm

With Wright having a crappy season, I'm hoping to add him in a dynasty league. I have Tiex at 1st and Miggy at 3rd. Miggy won't be third base eligible next season and although I was thinking of keeping him anyway and using him in 1 of 2 utility spots, I'm now wondering if I should try this out. However, I wonder if Wright is the way to go, I don't like making deals with top players like this. So is Tiex for Wright a good move for me if I can pull it off? Should I offer Miggy if I have too? Or should I forget about Wright all together and find a cheaper option?

I choose this team to make an offer too since they have Sandoval at first who will maintain 3rd base eligibility, so this trade won't leave them with a hole.

I believe Tex for Wright is a good fit for your team, but I think you might be overpaying for him short term. If you are planning for the years in the future, I'd consider it, as much as I love Tex.

I'm not a contender this season anyway. I inherited this team from some one who gave up. His team was getting old and he quit. I took it over cut half his team, made a couple trades (managed to get Manny on the cheap from an impatient owner) and picked up some young FA's I thought had promise. I'm sitting 5/12 right now, but there is little chance of me breaking the top three. In fact I'll probably finish in the bottom half. My team has made progress though, I just have to work on rebuilding.

Although Wright seems to have lost some power, he is still stealing a good amount of bases. I think that the more I think about it, it might be a good fit for your team.

it's a good fit for you. I'd almost like to see you trade Miggy instead of Tex, but the age difference has to be taken into account. But with Tex playing in half of his games in the Williamsport his value rises above what it already is

Some of my buddies on another forum are trying to convince me to deal Miggy instead of Teix too. Anyone else agree that this is the better move for my team?
