8 pitchers to rank

Postby taw856 » Fri Jun 12, 2009 12:45 am

Each of these pitchers are either on my roster or on someone else's trading block. Please rank these pitchers for the remainder of this season only...

A.J. Burnett, John Danks, Zach Duke, John Lackey, Francisco Liriano, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Rick Porcello, Ervin Santana

I'll take a crack at this. Thanks for your post. Lots of factors here, esp health which really complicates things. I see who keeps up the hot stuff, who bucks the cold spell, and who avoids the hurts. I am ranking largely on hunch of who is healthy.

John Danks

Ervin Santana
Francisco Liriano
A.J. Burnett
Zach Duke- Can't keep it up??
Rick Porcello

John Lackey- My darkhorse and an ol' fav who helped me in other seasons.
Daisuke Matsuzaka- I just find him among the riskiest.

Interesting feedback thusfar.

Seems like the tiers are:
1. Burnett, Danks, Lackey (all have gotten first place votes)

2. Santana (would have one if not for injury concerns)

3. Liriano, Matsuzaka, Porcello

4. Duke

Anyone strongly disagree with that?
