3B Rankings-- 100% WHIR

Postby LMack » Thu Jun 11, 2009 9:51 pm

In a standard, 5x5 H2H roto league, which 3B would you rather have for the rest of the year?

1. Mark Reynolds
2. Ryan Zimmerman
3. Chone Figgins

EDIT

Who is a better fit for my team?

I was thinking Zimm is the best at the plate with a solid avg, R, and RBI.
Only reason I consider Reynolds is due to his ability to steal some bases, and hit better than Figgins. Moreover is my team weak on steals? (Crawford - 34, Cruz 9, Ibanez 4, Cano 3)

They are all good and having a great season, but they'll help you in different ways. If you need speed take Figgins, power and RBI's take Reynolds, and for BA and more RBI's than Figgins can produce take Zimmerman.

If I have to just pick one, I'd take Zimmerman, he's contributes to more categories overall.

Tough to argue with Reynolds in the 5X5 format, he's above average in 4 cats and average in the 5th. All solid players, but I'd go Reynolds, Zim the Figgy. And he qualifies at 1B too!

please help...viewtopic.php?t=389896

I like Zim as much as the next guy, but...

Reynolds, Mark...0.277/16/40/42/13
Zimmerman, Ryan...0.315/11/41/40/0

And who cares if he strikes out 300 times, it's makes no difference if he pops out, grounds out or strikes out!

Um. Zimmerman the entire way dude. I would put money that he finishes the year better than Reynolds in 5 categories. He does play for a weaker team, but the nationals offense is actually more potent than dbacks. If you need steals, 3b isnt the spot to try and pick them up.

Zimmerman
Reynolds
Figgins

Figgins would get a slight edge over reynolds if you need pure speed

I like Zimmerman, Reynolds, and Figgins. I'm thinking Reynolds steals thus far have been a mirage. I don't look for that to continue. Meanwhile Zimmerman will continue to do his thing and will outperform Reynolds in all categories except maybe HR's.

I'm going to sound like a broken record, but Zimmerman, Reynolds, Figgins. Zim is by far the best option. Figgins is great for SBs, but that's about it. Reynolds has been great so far, but I think Zim will end up being the best option by year's end.
