I think that I am about given up waiting for Hardy.. should I rely on Bartlett the rest of the way or try to trade to upgrade my SS? I have had some interest from Jeter's owner such as:
A. Vernon Wells + Derek Jeter for my Jason Bartlett + Johnny Damon B. Vernon Wells + Derek Jeter + Yunei Escobar for my Jason Barlett + Johnny Damon + Ted Lilly
I initially went with an offer of Hardy + Lind + Lilly for Jeter and Wells a few weeks back when Lind was slumping...
I don't really want Wells if I am not sending Lind, as that would leave me with Hill, Wells and Lind (all toronto).
I am happy to lose some SP, and to that mind starting thinking about maybe going for Jeter + Holliday

To answer your question, it depends on what his other needs are, and if needs a SP, and also how high he is on Hardy. If he needs a SP, maybe offer Garza or Zambrano, or one of your starters, and plug in Garza or Zambrano into your rotation. Also, I am a fan of Bartlett, and with him starting his rehab assignment, you may be able to wait on Bartlett. I don't like either trade A or B, i think Damon is a better player than Wells, esp. with the lineup around him who can knock him in. If i were you, i would wait until Bartlett comes back and see what he can do.
Personally I like either of those deals, but then I'm not sold on Damon keeping it up all year. Damon was a guy most people had as an OF3 at best and a borderline bench player at worst at the start of the year, and while he's proven himself early on this season, I wouldn't call it unreasonable to even predict Wells outproducing him the rest of the way. It's not that I don't like Damon, and it's not that I'm saying he absolutely won't be better than Wells, because he certainly could be, but I just think it's way more of a lock that Jeter is an upgrade over Bartlett than Damon over Wells.
I'm not crazy about Damon either, and would take the first deal. I own Jeter in one of my leagues and have been very happy with his production so far. Bartlett is still a sell high-ish candidate to me personally.
Consensus see,s to be in accepting Wells + Jeter...
But one question... that leaves me with Wells, Hill and Lind all starting, all being for the same team (toronto). That does not seem smart to me... any other thoughts...?
It's not ideal to have that many people from the same team, but it's no reason to turn down a deal that works for you. After all, there's nothing preventing you from then making another equal value swap later on if it's just about getting some diversity in your lineup.
