Trade S. Drew for M. Holliday

Postby Tenacious D-Store » Thu Jun 11, 2009 2:08 pm

This is the same dynasty I just posted a few moments ago. I don't value MI's to much, there are plenty of decent ones out there. I'm just not sure Matt Holliday is the answer. I think it's good value for Drew, but not the right person for my team. That probably doesn't make much sense. I was also hoping to use Drew as a trading chip to net a third baseman for next season. I'm also trying to decide between Zito and Wolf as a dropper, Zito use to be a solid second half guy, and his recent success makes me wonder if I should hold on and see.

I think Drew is highly overrated and has never really put up useful numbers. As for Holliday, idk what to make of him now that he has severely slumped since his trade from Colorado. Still, this is a bargain that you need to take. Even if Holliday isnt the answer for you, i think you would have an easier time getting a 3b for him than you would Drew

I think on value alone you have to do this deal. Holliday is more likely than Drew to come out of his slump and put up big numbers and he is worth more in trade talks too. I say do it.

please help

Oops, I misunderstood his last e-mail. He was asking if my price would still be Holliday. He's been trying to get Drew from me all season, but he doesn't have much that interests me. To shut him up, I told him my price was Holliday and the Price was firm so pay it or stop bothering me. I had actually forgotten about it. To make a long story short, I'm not get Holliday, and he's still bothering me anyway... lol.

Any opinions on the Zito/Wolf portion of the question from the original post? I have to get Koji of my DL soon (I was gonna sit him today regardless, but I might activate him for his next start).
