OK, someone please explain this play-by-play log in the 7th inning of a tie game (I'm not watching it, only following it online, so I don't have the benefit of announcers' perspectives):
Top 7th: Pittsburgh
- F. Sanchez safe at first on shortstop Y. Escobar's throwing error
- A. LaRoche flied out to deep center
- A. LaRoche sacrificed to pitcher, F. Sanchez to second- D. Young struck out looking
WTF? Why would you have your #5 guy in the lineup -- who also happens to be one of your hottest hitters -- sacrifice a guy to second with ONE OUT??? This makes no sense to me. Anyone have any idea what was going through John Russell's mind?
