Porcello and Murphy for Meche/Crisp?(WHIR)

Postby kidsilk » Wed Jun 10, 2009 7:02 pm

AL only league, 10 teams, 23 man rosters, 7 keepers with 3 year contracts, 5x5 roto

A guy offered me Coco Crisp and Brad Bergensen for RIck Porcello and David Murphy and I turned that down. If I countered with Gil Meche and Crisp for Porcello and Murphy would that be worth it? I already tried Porcello and Murphy for Crisp and Burnett but he turned that one down. Here are our rosters: I like Crisp's potential and speed so if you dont like this for me can you see any other options? Thanks and leave your links.

I think Meche/Crisp would be a good return for Porcello/Murphy

Help with mine:Which 2B? Lopez, DeRosa, or Kendrick

as i've said in a few other posts, i really think porcello's production has been a mirage thus far. he's supremely talented, but he's a low K guy who's still very inexperienced. for a pitcher like that to contribute in fantasy it usually takes 3-4 years of maturation. it's diff with a young talented K pitcher, b/c they dont have to have pinpoint control/command to be effective.

i would take the meche side for sure.

I would take the meche side. I think meche is underrated. He has high K potential and does not give up the long ball.

I like your counter. Interestingly enough, I'd say that Meche and Porcello have a similar value for this season. Since you'd be getting an upgrade in the OF, it's certainly worth it.

Thanks for the help on mine.
