What's a fair offer for Justin Verlander? Can I package a bat with Escobar to get him?

Why bother? Your pitching is solid, IMO. If you must, offer Lily and a bat (but I don't know who). I would be surprised if Escobar did it for you.

I've been trying to target Justin Verlander myself in my league... maybe it's just that particular owner, but Verlander's been so dominant lately that it's going to take a bag of gold to get him right now. The other owner would definitely want to target your top-notch bats, like Pedroia, Rollins, or Soriano. If one of those were to ship out, I think you'd have to receive better than just Verlander. Obviously Longoria, Mcab, and Pujols shouldn't be moved, but beyond that, I don't see anything too enticing. I wouldn't trade Verlander for Escobar + a 3rd tier bat. The only player I could see making this trade work is Curtis Granderson + escobar for Verlander. Even though CG started off hot, he's slumping right now and it would be a perfect time to sell while you still have the chance.

What about Soriano and Lilly for Verlander and Kemp?
