Personally, I would go with Nathan. Urbina signing was the only thing threatening his closer job, and I seriously doubt UUU with sign with the Twins now.

Baez might have a great year. I watched him pitch in spring training, he looked very sharp.

Close call but I'd rank them Looper/Nathan/ /Baez. Luck permitting, Id not want to rely on any of them as anymore than my #3 closer.

Here's the "avg proj" for the 3:

Looper: 4-4/ 31SV/ 79IP/ 57K/ 3.63ERA/ 1.34WHIP
Nathan: 4-4/ 30SV/ 73IP/ 70K/ 3.74ERA/ 1.26WHIP
Baez: 4-5/ 27SV/ 74IP/ 63K/ 4.10ERA/ 1.29WHIP

Baez
Looper
Nathan

Baez will definitely be the closer in Tampa and the way Looper is pitching in ST Baez is the only one of the 3 with job security IMO.

Nathan, easily.

The Twins have given Eddie G lots of save opps the last few years. Nathan probably has better stuff so if he takes to the job he'll be a great #2 closer.

Baez will definitely have the closer's job, but it's IN TAMPA.

Nathan, because the Twins are good and I can't see JC Romero closing; then Looper. then baez.

Nathan, then Baez, then Looper. I think Looper is going to be terrible this year. Bad K/9 and bad WHIP doesn't make the future look very promising. Baez will surprise a lot of people, I think he can be really good. Same with Nathan.

Looper was 2.28 ERA 1.31 WHIP before the all star break last year. The previous year, he was 3.14 ERA 1.17 WHIP. I'd like to see more K/9 out of him too, but I think that if he can work a little on his control, he can be a really solid closer. Cameron, Matsui and Reyes are going to be a nice midfield cushion for any mistakes he makes.
