He went 0/4 today. Seems like it's becoming a trend that he either goes hitless or 1/4. I realize the power is there and he is still drawing walks, but after today his average dipped below .240. Is he still trying to find his groove or what? Is his hip injury lingering?
From what I understand, ARod's BABIP is quite low, and that, not a decline in skill, is driving his poor AVG. I wouldn't worry, in the final analysis he's going to put up excellent numbers. Now might be a good time to buy low if his owners are scared by the low BA...
"This guy leads the league in most offensive categories, including nose hair..."
I maintain that A-Rod never actually had any surgery. Rather, the Yankees imposed a "suspension" on him so that he could get clean and then work his way back into decent physical condition so as not to arouse suspicion when he showed up after his "surgery" about 35 pounds lighter. The whole surgery story just doesn't make sense.
I maintain that Manny never really had any issue with the deal that the dodgers originally offered him. he just held out that long so he would remain a free agent. thus making him not a part of the MLBPA, thus not being subjected to random steroid testing. that way he could go through a steroid cycle in the offseason without getting in trouble.
