I'm in a 6X6 NL-only keeper with 32-man rosters. I hate to veto trades, but I'm unsure about this one, particularly because this league is so deep. I think Team A comes out way ahead in the first trade.
Team A gets: Cantu, Jorge 3B FLA - Johnson, Kelly 2B ATL - Marmol, Carlos RP CHC - Rodriguez, Ivan C HOU -
Team B gets: Encarnacion, Edwin 3B CIN - Rodriguez, Francisco J. RP NYM - Santos, Omir C NYM - Wilson, Jack SS PIT -
And should this trade have been vetoed? I think this was just a bad deal by Team B. A gets: Madson, Ryan RP PHI - Rodriguez, Francisco J. RP NYM - Santos, Omir C NYM - Stewart, Ian 3B COL -
B gets: Church, Ryan RF NYM - Flores, Jesus C WAS - Fowler, Dexter CF COL - Gonzalez, Alex SS CIN -
I dont think either one is vetoable. In the first one, I like what Team A gets more, but Team B gets the best player in K Rod and may be looking for saves. I think the second one is questionable. What could team B possibly want with any of those players? An upgrade at Catcher? Team A doesn't get much either. Seems like a waste of time to me. Do you have a moves limit?
I don't see the first deal as vetoable at all. KRod is the best player by far in the deal, and Team B gets him.
The second deal is much more questionable. Church isn't awful in a league that deep, and Fowler may have some value. Plus, Gonzalez also has some value. But Madson, K-Rod, and Stewart all have more. However, it appears that he turns around and deals K-Rod.
I agree that the first trade looks ok. The second trade is giving Fowler too much value. But if this was in the middle of his hot streak a few weeks ago, then maybe team B thought he was the next big thing. It's not completely ridiculous that someone might overvalue him given the stats he was putting up for a few weeks there.
No way either should be vetoable. yes, team A comes out ahead in all our opinions, but who's to say team B doesn't think differently
It's not our place to decide if "player x" is better than "player y" on 2 other teams making a trade (unless they are cheating to stack a team of course). Regardless if everyone feels that 1 side is getting a better deal, we all could be DEAD wrong come year's end...
