He just crushed a HR at home. I think we may be in the middle of, or even less far into, a substantial hot streak. His home/away splits are interesting in that he has 9 of his HRs away. And they sure do sail at the Yankees new park.
Anyone else get this vibe?

He's been hot for a little while now. You have to squeeze everything you can out of him now, especially since Nady has started his throwing program and DHing in extended spring training games.

You think nady will push Swisher to the bench?

Not to the 'bench', but it just adds another player to the OF/DH rotation: 4 spots for
Damon
Melky
Gardner
Swisher
Matsui
Nady

It sounds like Nady is getting very close:
According to the New York Daily News, Yankees' outfielder Xavier Nady went 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk in an extended spring training game on Monday. Nady continues to throw at 75-90 feet, but the Yankees want him to be able to throw at 150 feet before they will activate him.

Barring a serious injury to a starting pitcher or position player, I doubt the Yankees will be very active at the deadline. The only outfielders they could really get anything for are Damon and Swisher but it makes no sense to trade either of them, especially Swisher because he is locked up for a while.
As it is now, the only pressing need the team has is the bullpen. To fill that need they can either shift some minor league starters to the pen (guys like George Kontos or Christian Garcia) or trade them or other B-prospects for an established reliever.
