i wouldn't be buying on martin right now, he hasn't shown anything, not a single HR. i'd target another catcher.

How about if you were offered Iannetta for Martin? Which one do you think is better for the 2nd half?

Now hes talking Lackey... Would you move Lackey for Martin.. I would Replace Lackey with Jurrjens. ( I realize this is not the right forum but since were talking Martin, its good to know what value he holds)

Bambino, who do you have at catcher? Not that it matters, I think you're overpaying with any of those offers..and if it was me I'd tell the guy to take a hike.

I Have Pierzynski. I think im going to do it.. I hate Lackey and would prefer Jurrjens.... so essentially it would be:

Lackey and Pierzynski
for
Jurrjens and Martin

Is Martin really substantially better than the aforementioned "Catcher in the Wry"? I would stand pat with the hand you're holding, man...Martin has been overrated by SI and ESPN for several years. He's an above average player but not a star...

I'd hold steady where you are.

Pierzynski isn't a rock star but he's decent enough that he won't hurt you in 4 of 5 categories. If you need steals that badly you're better off shopping a pitcher for another position player.

Really, even if Im getting Jurrjens back to replace Lackey? When Manny comes back, hes going to surge the offense.... martin has to contribute somehow, no? I guess my other option is to wait on Doumit getting back.. do you guys think doumit is better then Martin?

And what was Martin doing when Manny was in the lineup this year? Not much then either way I see it.

He has to hit.. hes a good hitter.. i dont know what the hell his problem is... but ya, i dont want to pay for his risk with a proven pitcher in Lackey.
