Is Los Angeles Dodger's catcher Russell Martin's power going to return?

Did putting the "J" on his jersey which represents his mother's maiden name have the effect of influencing his power toward more woman-like levels? If so, will he realize it, and if he does, will he reverse this decision and remove the "J"?

Has he been doing yoga? Is his flexibility increasing? Will that turn the tide?

When Manny comes back, will it help Martin?

I think the addition of the "J" on his jersey is throwing off his balance. The extra weight on the left side of his body is likely affecting his ability to maintain power through the 2nd half of his swing.

All kidding aside, I'm not sure Manny coming back will be much of a factor for him (Ethier is another story though). I could be wrong and the team synergy will motivate him to get those #'s up, but I'm not sure. This seems to be just another example of why you don't draft a catcher early. I took him in the 4th round in a 10 teamer. Right now he's ranked at 645 by yahoo, which is atrocious. He's on pace for a career high in K's. Still 0 HR. I'd be content if he can get his average up from the current .250 to his career avg of .280. I don't think he's even trade-able right now. The only plus is the 7sb so far.

I have some depth at OF and offered Pence for Martin... I like the guy and hope he will rebound... The guy told me to stuff it basically..... I think that was a steal for him since hes hurting in all hitting categories and already has a serviceable catcher in Inge.

He wants more for martin.... What the hell do I have to offer him... Whats he worth these days?

screw him, if he's not taking pence, forget it. martin right now isn't even worth pence, let alone an elite SP like haren.

i wouldn't be buying on martin right now, he hasn't shown anything, not a single HR. i'd target another catcher.
