I'd scour the waiver wire...i've seen guys like K. Ishii, Jerome Williams, Mark Redman going undrafted in some Yahoo leagues. Also guys like Brett Myers, Ben Sheets who are coming into their 2nd and 3rd seasons and also should get some more run support. And lastly guys that are 2 or so years removed from Tommy Johns should be coming into there own. Ron Villone, Cris Carpenter. Basically my strategy is to list by the WHIP and go down the list from there. I pretty much live and die with low WHIP. Also, I'd look around and see what guys might catch a 5 spot on some staffs. Brandon Claussen or Jose Acevado for the Reds, THe D'Backs have some young arms and everybody will get a bump up in the rotation with Schilling leaving. Also at Closer, Lightenberg might get a shot at it along with Ryan Wagner. And finally Tsao with the Rockies might be a guy to stash and pull out when he's on the road. He can pitch, just not in Colorado. If all else fails, there is always the 2 to 1 strategy. With one of your last pitching spots just yoyo in people who are on the waiver wire and will get two starts that week. Its tough to get a decent guy every week doing it but I've seen it work and I've done it when I had guys go on the DL. Not sure any of that helped, just throwing around some ideas.
