I am at a loss!! I am in a 12 team, 5x5 re-draft roto league, and haven't been able to deal with anyone! Some people say they don't want starters, some want to give up only crap, and others won't respond.
At what point do you take a loss to trade for a hitter above waiver wire level?
My IP limit is 1250, and I am +66.2 above pace, with a ton of SPs.
Here is my roster:
C Posada
1B Pujols
2B Phillips
SS Peralta
3B Cantu
CI Adrian Gonzalez
MI Jose Lopez
OF Soriano
OF Abreu
OF Pierre
OF Sheffield
UTIL Thome
Bn Chris Davis
SP Hamels
SP Felix
SP Shields
RP Soria
RP Bell
RP Hawkins
P Hanrahan
P Howell
P Liriano
Bn Danks
Bn Volstad
Bn Randy Johnson
Bn Nolasco
DL Hudson
DL Percival
My question, what do I do? I need some more and better position players. I am going to have to get beat up a little bit in a trade to make a deal, or flat out drop some SPs.
What type of guys would you target, with the type of starting pitching that I have?

target Markakis while he is in a little slump for hamels or king felix.

I would just keep going with your best pitchers until you hit the cap. That will still take you some time, and by then your leaguemates may be ready to trade. Looking at your roster, I'd say you should target a solid OF... Beltran jumps to mind. Other poster said Markakis, and that's a good target right now.
