No one is trading in my league. My plan was to trade a catcher for either a closer, OF or SS. My team is in 3rd place, but I think I could rise to the top if I strengthen a few positions. So, my question is...Should I try to move a catcher for one of my needs for a cheaper price? Or, should I drop someone for one of these FAs: Luke Scott, Rios, Beckham, A Baily, JP Howell??? Thanks, leave a link and I'll try my best to help---WHIR!!!

It's still closer by matchup over in Tampa Bay but I think Choate has been getting the save opportunities lately.
Rios picked it up in the second half last year but I think Luke Scott is a better play right now.
I'm not a believer in Martin for power. Wieters has the biggest upside for the future but no telling if that's this year or next. Sandoval would be my drop at catcher, start Martin and hope for Wieters to emerge this year.

I would be reluctant to drop Sandoval just because of his triple eligibility. If you could sell him cheap to someone, I would. Wieters, Martin and Sandoval are all top 10 catchers, so in a 10 player league there might be a chance of someone wanting to buy. I'd try to sell him off for a RP or OF.

Go Jay Bruce. Credits to Super Manny.

Is there any outfielder or relief pitcher that I could trade one of my catchers for that would be too tempting to say NO?

It's really tempting to hold on to top 10 Catchers for trade bait but in a league where nobody trades it's simply a waste of a roster spot. I would take the Wells deal you mentioned in another post. You have to jump on an offer at some point, especially when everyone is reluctant to make trades in the first place.
