Luke Scott or Vernon Wells? WHIR

Postby NYYanks7823 » Sun Jun 07, 2009 9:07 am

Hey guys, in your honest opinion, who would u rather have for the rest of the season...Vernon Wells or Luke Scott. Scott is available in my league in the FA pool so i was thinking about picking him up. I rarely start Wells lately and my outfield consists of Carlos Lee, Carl Crawford, Matt Kemp, and Nelson Cruz. Stolen bases are not an issue as Crawford, Kemp, and Rollins are reliable sources of stolen bases.

So, any opinions as to what I should do? This is an 8 team head to head league. Should I drop Wells and pick up Scott, or stay put? Thanks. :-)

If you'd prefer to have the power over sb's, I'd ride Scott while he's hot.

With Wells you have a little better idea of what you're getting. I'd expect .270 and 20-25 HRs from him assuming a full season of ABs.

Scott is more unpredictable, of course, but in my opinion I wouldn't expect anything less than what Wells will probably give you. If it's my team, I'd grab Scott and see where he takes you.

ya exactly Wells you know more what you will get, but Scott is the guy with upside - this essentially goes back to your style of play
