The second weakest fantasy position for me this year (behind catchers of course) would be, in my mind, shortstops. Don't get me wrong, the top tier of shortstops are a valueable team anchor, but there is a huge drop off and lack of depth. I have been a plagued owner of Stephen Drew and Jhonny Peralta (whom I have dropped), and have picked up Gordon Beckham with hopes he rakes in the majors and retains SS eligibility. My current gameplan is to hold onto S. Drew and hope Beckham produces if Drew can't. Is this the best option I have?
SS Free Agents1. Clint Barnes (Assuming he retains SS with Tulo possibily seeing some bench time)
2. Orlando Cabrera (Hits for a mediocre average but scores a couple runs here and there)
3. Elvis Andrus (To be honest I dont know much about Andrus, scores runs in the Rangers O and has speed?)
4. Rafael Furcal (I'd be hesitant to get him, because I'm looking for points
now, and not potential)
Opions are welcome.
Leave a link and I'll see what I can do
