Crisp or McCutchen & SP HELP? WHIR!

Postby saemick » Sat Jun 06, 2009 11:31 am

I currently have Crisp, and he's actually done ok as a sub for me, but should I puck up McCutchen over him?

Also, rank these SP's:
Maholm (PIT)
Zimmerman (WAS)
Bastardo PHI
Wells (CHC)
Hill (BAL)
Nolasco (FLA)

I currently have Maholm, and am wondering if I should drop him for any of the other FA's

this is a 12-team H2H NON-Keeper league (so all players will only be for this year) stat cats are:
Pitchers: W, L, CG, SHO, SV, BB, K, NH[/size]

I own Crisp too, and he has been surprisingly productive. He seems to have cooled a bit though. I'd probably take my chances with the rookie.

Help with mine plz - viewtopic.php?t=388999

Ranking those pitchers is a tough order because there are so many variables in play.

Maholm (PIT) - I'm not a believer. In a 10 team league I think he's a spot starter at best.
Zimmerman (WAS) - Tons of potential, but I don't think this is the season he gets it done. The Nats seem to have him on a strict pitch count (i.e., no margin for error) and the chances of him picking up wins are slim to non.
Bastardo (PHI) - Know nothing about him.
Wells (CHC) - Know nothing about him.
Hill (BAL) - I like Hill. He's probably the safest pick. He seems to have rediscovered his pin point control and in Balt he'll have plenty of chances for wins.
Nolasco (FLA) - I was burned by him earlier in the year so it hard for me to recommend Nolasco. He is intriquing though and apparently he's getting called back to the bigs. Of the pitchers you listed I think he has the most potential to be a viable commodity going forward.
