Gonzo for Reyes?

Postby pangbones » Sat Jun 06, 2009 11:22 am

I'd give up Gonzo and Furcal for J Reyes and M Reynolds. I'm hesitant because Reyes is out for 3 weeks and it probably will be 6 weeks before he's back. What do you think? I've also been offered Sizemore for Gonzo straight up.

C - McCann
1B - A Gonzalez
2B - Uggla
3B - Wright
SS - S Drew
OF - Braun, Werth, Ludwick
Util - Pena, Thome
DL - Quentin

Bench - Furcal, Konerko

SP - Haren, Peavy, J Shields, Bedard, Maine
RP - Qualls, Rodney, Aardsma
Bench - Joba, Baker, J Zimmermann, T Hanson, R Johnson, Lindstrom

10 Team, 6*6 (OBP and K's for hitters and L's for Pitchers), H2H, Keeper (3 players, at least 1 hitter and 1 pitcher)

I feel like there's too much risk involved with Reyes at this point. I'm not sure I'd give up someone as good as A.Gonzalez to land him...unless it's a keeper league.

Help with mine plz - viewtopic.php?t=388999

It is a keeper league, but I don't think I'd keep him. I have Braun and Wright as my keepers.

Thanks for your help on mine.

While I don't like Furcal, I still wouldn't do this one. Yes, I know the SS position is probably driving you batty. I had S Drew for long time before I finally gave up and went w/ Tejada. So glad I did.

Anyways, I think you should be able to get more for Gonzo, with his mammoth production.

So you keep 3? Sorry I missed that. I'd probably do the trade then. Having Braun, Wright and Reyes (essentially 3 first rounders) to keep next season would be sick.

I'd probably jump on it. I also can't stand Furcal and SS as been looking shallow since the start of the season. Gonzo has to cool down soon and the Reynolds SB's as of late has been a pleasant surprise for owners. As for the second deal, I'd hold off. Your OF looks good and I think Werth will bounce back soon and deliver the 20-20 season expected of him.

It says he has to keep at least 1 pitcher.

I would do the deal for Reyes because I think selling high on Gonzo's the right way to go.
