Are You a Carlos Quentin Believer?? WHIR

Postby sweettortilla » Sat Jun 06, 2009 9:52 am

Is Quentin the stud that he has been projected to be, that his stats show when he is playing and healthy? Or is he the fragile little flower petal that has spent a disproportionate amount of time on the DL?

I have the opportunity to give away David Price for him. I think Price might be on a limited pitch count this year, but since this is a keeper league, I don't want to be giving away the next Johan.

On the other hand, I like Quentin's age, his power numbers. If he is REALLY a top-flight OF, it might be worth sending away this pitching "prospect."

So, my question to you - are you a Carlos Quentin believer?

I like Carlos Quentin and think his power is definitely for real. He is a first class slugger and IF healthy will hit 35-40 hr per year. IF HEALTHY.

Price on the other hand is a blue chip stud and will be a top 10 pitcher for years to come. Do NOT deal him away for anything less than a young blue chip stud (ie. Longoria, Hanley etc.)

Trade doesn't make sense for you. You need Price much more then you need Quentin. Your offense is fine as is.

I am a Quentin believer, not so much for this year, but for the future. However, I'd rather have Price. He's got a chance to be one the best in the game. I think he's got the higher upside and I'd rather keep him over Quentin.
