Return to Draft, Trade, Keeper and Waivers Questions

Just a general question on Stephen Strassburg:
Assuming that Strassburg is drafted by the Washington Nationals in next week's Amateur Draft, and assuming that the Nationals are able to negotiate with agent Scott Boras to sign Strassburg to a deal, how would I be able to add him to my fantasy team? Will he "magically" appear as a player eligible for anyone to add, or will he need to go through waivers? I'm in a competitive 10-team ESPN Keeper League, and I would love to be able to add him. Having a #1 waiver pick would be great if he would need to pass through waivers.
Thoughts? Thanks!

To some extent, it will depend on your league. However, without fail, I would expect him to go through waivers first.
I know CBS has added him to their player pool, Yahoo hasn't (usually Yahoo requires either the person be an expected Major Leaguer out of camp or have been officially called up [the day the move is made, not the week before when the move is announced]). Whether that'll make him available in your league remains to be seen because commissioners commonly get to set a limit on what it takes to become available.

I would imagine that he appears on the waivers. It really wouldn't be that fair any other way..
Thanks for the help!

The only acceptable answer to your question: Ask your Commish. He should be able to tell you. If he can't, he sucks as a commish and your guess is as good as anyone's.
