Crawford for Longoria

I am planning to propose this trade.
Crawford is red hot and is definitely having 1st round value.
Longoria had a good start, but cooled off recently, and is day to day now.
My 3B is beltre/Branyan now, and they are both hot recently.
Longoria will be better than either of them at season end, but I am not sure if the gap between them worth me Crawford.
I have too many OFs and lead in SB by a large margin, that's why I want to trade Crawford for my weak 3B.
Am I paying too much in this trade?

You are not paying too much, maybe not enough. You are doing the right thing in dealing your excess, but you may have to add to the deal to make it work.
