Hamels or Beckett? WHIR

Postby bigslickak » Fri Jun 05, 2009 4:33 pm

5x5 (with OBP instead of AVG) roto

So, I need one more pitcher. I am first in my league in HR and RBI, but very low in the pitching ratios and wins, so I think I can get either Hamels or Beckett for Dunn. Which pitcher should I go after? Remember Dunn is highly valued in this league since it is a OBP league instead of AVG.

Roster below
IF - Iannetta, Pujols, Alexei Ramirez, Zimmerman, Tejada
OF - Podsednik, Fowler, Willingham
Util - Pena, Reynolds
BN - FLopez, McCutchen
DL - Reyes
SP - Lincecum,Hamels,Garza,Washburn, Meyer
RP - Fuentes,Capps P - Aardsma
BN - Kazmir,Parra,Price

Thanks guys for the sanity check. I read a great article somewhere that was really pumping up Beckett, and had to do a double take.

As an owner of Hamels, I would never give him up for Dunn. If you can pull it off, go for it.

As I mentioned in the original post, Dunn is highly valued in the this league, it is a 5x5 roto, but batting average is NOT a category, OBP is. Adam Dunn has a decent OBP, and is 4th round talent.
