Vlad's facing Verlander tonight, and though he's 5 for 9 lifetime against him, Verlander's pretty ridiculous this year. Dukes, on the other hand, is facing the beastly Tim Redding, with his smooth 9+ ERA and his 1:1 BB:K ratio on the season. Barmes is facing Wainwright and usually out of the discussion, but the guy's 11 for his last 26 with 3 2Bs, 2 3Bs, and 1 SB.
League penalizes for Ks, rewards for BBs, and features me leading my opponent by 4 Ks (less than him) and 7 BBs (more than him).
I'm also winning SBs by a pair, HRs by 3, RBIs by 1, Runs by 7, and 3Bs by 1. Currently only trailing in AVG (by .012), FPCT (2 Es for me, 0 for him, not worried about this cat), and 2Bs (by 8 [damn Lind for the other team...], pretty much hopeless to come back in this cat).
Dukes and Barmes are K risks at all times, but Dukes gets the best pitcher tonight. Since Vlad's facing Verlander, he's also a K risk, and he's got 6 Ks in his last 5 games.
Only other possibly questionable start would be Johnny Damon, who is hitting at home (though against David Price) and has 4 RBI and 4 BBs in his last 5 games. Price is nice, but I'm 99.99% sure I'd keep Damon in unless someone could give me a hell of a sales pitch as to why I should sit him.
