Lincecum for Holiday

Postby Markus09 » Fri Jun 05, 2009 1:26 pm

The trade is im giving up Lincecum, Alexi Ramirez and Freddy Sanchez for Matt Holiday, Asdurble Cabrera and John Danks. I have pitcher wise,
Jake Peavy
Rich Harden
Joba Chamberlain
Rick Porcello
Josh Outman
Andrew Miller

This is a keeper league, my keeps so far are
Arod
Hanley
Sizemore
Quentin
Votto

Ya know, I wouldn't do it. Losing Lincecum really weakens your pitching stable, and adding Holliday won't help you that much, as you already have Hanley and Arod. I would be patient with Quentin, Votto, and Sizemore. This is especially true in a Keeper league, where Lincecum has greater value, as the youngest of the "elite" pitchers.

I wouldn't either. The Holiday of old is gone in my opinion and Lincecum is an absolute stud and I like Alexi (long term) over Cabrera as well.

If you had stronger pitching I would probably do it, Holliday is getting hot and might get traded possibly to a better hitters park. I always thought Lincecum was overrated so I would deal him, but as the other poster mentioned if you dealt him it would really hurt your staff.

Help with mine?

Gotta agree with the crew, esp since A Cab is on the DL for anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

No...you definitely need to keep Lincecum. It's to much of a drop off from Lincecum to Danks.
