I am last in BA and 5th in RBIs. I have Carpenter, Bedard, Beckett, Smoltz, Escobar Nolasco and Porcello so I can affored to lose Gallardo (although he's fantastic).
What do you think????

I love Gallardo, but I'm a Brewer fan....
You can afford to lose him with the rest of your rotation however, and Tex has a great bat. Wouldn't hurt your BA and most likely will help your RBIs

I have to agree. Look at it like it was draft day: Tex is, in my book, an early 3rd rounder at worst. Dunn is way up there, as was Gallardo. Since you are set in pitching, the loss of Gallardo doesn't hurt very much, so you could think of this is a straight up Dunn for Tex trade. I'd pull the trigger!

it would also help if you told us who you are targeting to pick up if you made this deal. its good to get the whole picture. but you are getting the best player in the deal in tex - although i do think you could get more for the two players you are offering. is there someone on his team he could throw in? who is he dropping?
could you see mine?

I like all the players involved in this deal, however I think you are giving up too much. We all know Dunn hits for power not average, even though he started the 2009 season hitting near .300 it has quickly dropped to .260 and still falling. He is a reliable source of power and will give you 40 homers easy. Gallardo is a terrific pitcher and will only keep getting better. Tex is great but I think you might be giving up too much.
Help with mine?
