Luke Scott on the FA

Need some expert advice

Luke Scott is on FA and looking at his numbers he looks like a stud just sitting there. Should I drop someone just to keep him on my bench? I have a pretty solid OF crew....

OF - J. Bay (OF)
OF - A. Soriano (OF)
OF - C. Crawford (OF)
Util - C. Beltran (OF)
BN - R. Furcal (SS)
BN - J. Werth (OF)
BN - P. Sandoval (C, 1B, 3B)

Pitchers

I would definately pick him up!!! (I'll probably be in the minority on this one)....

I picked him up in 2 of my 3 leagues (someone else got to him before I did in 1 league) and he hasn't let me down thus far! Sure....he will cool off some but he is going to hit, hit, and HIT some more throughout the season and put up some real decent numbers. Most people think he will go cold turkey and that he is a 1-2 week flash hit wonder but I see him going beast mode here on out!

You however don't have really much to drop and you already have a plethera of OF's (and nice ones also)!!!

I would though.....drop Furcal (who has been bust this year) or Pable (no need for 2 C's when you have Mauer...and if you want him for a backup at another position then I'm sure there is WW guys ready to pounce).....if not Pablo though then at least Furcal. I would then try trading a top OF for a top SS (since Lopez isn't going to cut it).....or you can grab Scott and if.....I mean when he keeps beast mode alive then you could possibly land a top SS.....which means you just dropped crappy Furcal for a #1/#2 SS!!!

Good Luck!!

I would pick him up for sure, and then make a trade for some pitching help perhaps. Looks like you have solid hitters and can afford to lose 1 or 2, especially if you add Scott. You could also trade an OF for some help at other positions, i.e. SS.
