Trading Peavy

Postby great gretzky » Fri Jun 05, 2009 12:16 pm

I have peavy and I like him, but I think he is a touch overrated relative to his name.

Had an interesting offer come through, even though I have a personal distaste of some of the players. I give peavy I get aaron hill, derek lowe and cuddyer. Im not taking it as I don't want cuddyer. But I might be able to get gavin floyd or huff or something.

my team:

mccann, berkman, zorbrist, miggy, theriot, f. sanchez, pena. jason bay, jayson werth, vernon wells, choo, luke scott, beltre.

licecum, peavy, webb (DL) volstad, jurgens, outman, tommy hanson, k. escobar, nolasco.

my thinking is that out of hanson, escobar, nolasco one might hit, and I have webb coming back and lowe is pretty darn solid.

the hang up is of course is hill for real?

thoughts?

i think if you can get huff, i would pull the trigger if you see him playing over pena, beltre or l.scott

Hill may or may not be able to keep up this pace, but he is an upgrade over your MI's
Lowe is a solid SP, you'll be losing some K's with him though
Huff would have an impact in your lineup (though i'm not sure how many you start)
