Markakis for ______?

Postby Knights » Thu Jun 04, 2009 8:03 pm

I'm trying to acquire Nick Markakis, hopefully acquire him while he's slumping a bit because you know he's going to turn it around.

The other owner has expressed interest in my pitchers, but I don't feel that I have the depth to deal a top pitcher. So I'm wondering if there's a fair package that I could create, which would land me Markakis while only giving up a middle-tier pitcher and a bat maybe?

Please help me out with any suggestions on trade I could propose.

Thanks, WHIR

It would take something like Mags and Oswalt, and even that probably wouldn't do it.

I'd try to sell high on Hill and Bedard. Package them for Markakis and F.Sanchez maybe? Sanchez is flashy, but he's very underrated.

Help with mine plz viewtopic.php?t=388927

Your team has a lot more closers than his. How are you doing on saves? I think you would want try to package one of your better relievers like wilson or bell with an OF like Lind or Wells. He probably would rather have almost any 2 of your pitchers than almost any 2 of his though so you might have to offer up a pair of pitchers to make it work for him.

Thx for the reply the other day, sorry I'm slow getting back.

I'd try to sell him Wells, Hanson, and Webb.. I know, I know.. but you've managed this far without Webb, and he's a big question mark. This guy would be selling Markakis (who is slumping), for some serious pitching upside, and getting a not-bad OF in return.
