I read he grabbed his leg after each swing last night, and that he's not looking good for at least the rest of the weekend.

1B Miguel Cabrera (left hamstring) didn't start Friday, but he did pinch-hit and walk in the ninth. The at-bat showed, though, that the slugger is not going to be ready to play Saturday and possibly Sunday either because he kept grabbing at his left hamstring every time he swung. "I was hoping he'd be able to play (Saturday)," Manager Jim Leyland said, "but now I'm not sure." He came out for a pinch runner, who was stranded at third as the game ended. (Yahoo! Sports)
Gotta say, don't they check these players before the game? I mean, if he took a few swings before the game, maybe they would have gotten the idea that he wasn't really ready to go yet. And maybe they could have held him out to give him a little more rest. Oh well, just a walk to 1st base. Hopefully not a big deal. Lol.
I personally think that if it is bad enough for him to be grab-assing during an at bat the way he was, then it is bad enough for him to be hitting the DL... Maybe if he could DH...? But clearly restricting to battionmg only wasn't helping...
I have him, and depend on him mightily in my league, but I have to be thinking he is heading for a short DL stint at this point... hamstring injuries linger like a bad fart on a windless day.
I hope I am wrong but I am rpeparing for the worst...
