Already have Valverde on the DL, with Hamilton out I have no bench, just starters, can I afford to play it out this way or should I drop one of my pitchers for another Bat? Which pitcher would need to go? Note that I am in first place by 9.5 games.

Personally I think that him being out helps your team because you don't have his consistent inconsistency. With this said, I think that you ride it out. It's not a big deal to not have a bench player, but if another guy gets hurt then you're in trouble. Be patient. See if you can trade 2 of your pitchers for one better pitcher then you can just pick up what ever you may need. But if I were you I wouldn't worry about it too much, and don't just trade Hamilton for nothing either.
