If Mike Williams can get over 40 saves with that team then who knows?I personally picked Mesa up myself...I mean he did have 45 saves with a bad Phillies team.

I'd hold on to him. If he gets a quick start to the season and gets a few saves in April then you can try and trade him when his value is higher.

There are a few MLB players that I would love to...meet. Mesa is one of those lucky ones. Ah, the things I would...ask him, if he were only here. ;-7 Teaches me to "take a chance" on him again.

the thing that scares me off about mesa is is era and whip. he RUINS all the hard work that your top tier starters and closers contribute towards whip and era. all for what.....20-25 saves?
you have got 3 decent closers there, i dont see you needing to add mesa. i would rather have a guy in a setup role with a good era and whip...that way he might get a closing role at some stage.

Listen to Rynman.
The handful of saves Mesa would get you do not make up for the negative impact he will have on your ERA and WHIP. I would go after one of the stud middle relief guys that will help you in the %s and Ks.
