Mazzaro went 6.1 giving up only 3 hits and 0 ER and Hanson has struck out 90 in 66.1 innings in AAA.

Are either of these guys worth picking up?

bump. Let my clarify a little bit. I was wondering who people think will be more valuable this year. Vin Mazzaro from the Athletics or Tommy Hanson from the Braves.

I know people stash Hanson, but not for Mazzaro. I am a Braves fan, I may pick up Hanson. But really, trying to figure out who has the better potential right now is really a crapshoot. Hanson is ranked as top prospect by a lot of people, but he is not called yet, but should be very soon. Mazzaro has pitched a good game, and in a good young pitching system. I would wait and see what Mazzaro did in the next couple of games, also see if Tommy will be called up.
