Use #3 Waiver on Geovany Soto???

Postby killerbeez » Wed Jun 03, 2009 9:54 pm

h2h 12 team keeper league

I have Mike Napoli and I'm starting to get impatient with him splitting a lot of time with Jeff Mathis. I know Soto is struggling but is he worth using my #3 WW priority to platoon him with Napoli until he heats up? Will he turn it around or is he stuck in a sophomore jinx?

C Mike Napoli
1B Albert Pujols
2B Ian Kinsler
3B Aubrey Huff
SS Yunel Escobar (would Jhonny Peralta be a more suitable SS instead??)
OF Nate McLouth
OF Justin Upton
OF Shane Victorino
Util Ryan Ludwick
Bn Manny Ramirez
Bn Rafael Furcal (would drop for Geovany Soto)
DL Asdrubal Cabrera

SP Erik Bedard, Matt Garza, Scott Baker, Francisco Liriano, John Danks, Phil Hughes, Clay Buchholz
RP Joe Nathan, Chad Qualls, Andrew Bailey
DL Justin Duchscherer

I'd pick up Soto, he can't get much worse than he's been. Having to a decent C sucks to begin with, the fact that it's Napoli who splits time and hasnt found consistency yet, makes it worse.

I'd also drop Yunel and pick up Peralta. Between him and Furcal, thats not a bad platoon.

Help?

I am a bit worried about Soto, wondering if he's hurt somewhat. Who are the other FA catchers out there you could pick up for free?

If there's nobody else, I probably would use the spot and take a shot at Soto.

Thanks for the help!

I think the upside with Soto is worth the pick up...
