I can understand where you guys are coming from, but do you think that Wieters will drastically outperform the duo of Posada/Iannetta? Posada has been on fire, and I like his potential this year at the new Yankee stadium. If he goes down, I think Iannetta will also have great potential once the summer is in full swing. I'm not saying this for sure, but I'm not sure the difference in power Wieters could potentially provide was worth passing on Hanson, considering the slim pickings at SP.
Trust me, I would have let Iannetta go if I could have, but he was in a DL slot, and I still would have had to drop someone else to make room.

Like I said in another thread about Hanson, we should get to see what he's made of this weekend being they are having him pitch against the Brewers. A very good hitting ballclub as you all know. So seeing him against the likes of Fielder and Braun among others should be interesting. Good luck to all of you Hanson owners this weekend!!

You had no one else to drop?
Already had Posada, and Iannetta on the DL. I would have dropped Iannetta, but since he was in DL slot, I still would have had to drop someone else to make room, and there wasn't enough time to work out a 2 for 1 type trade...time was not on my side!
My offensive bench consists of Abreu and Vlad, and didn't want to drop one of them.
As for pitchers, I could have dropped Randy Johnson or Porcello, but our WW is so scarce of quality SP, that I felt it best to keep all of my pitching staff intact for now.
Essentially, Wieters would have been sitting on my bench unless Posada went down, so it had the least effect on my team (at least I think so!).
I would have dropped Porcello. He'll have a correction and Hanson is a greater strikeout option. Porcello doesn't really have a history of missing many bats despite his plus stuff. Also, you have Hanson facing generally weaker lineups with the pitching spot included. Just a thought. They could all be about equal in value, but the reward with Hanson is quite high.

Yes it is about time. I must say this had me LMAO!!
