Thinking of trading a pitcher.... which one?

Postby JJDM » Wed Jun 03, 2009 3:21 pm

Hey all,

I'm pretty happy with my starting pitching performance so far this year, but I just got a boost from David Price and I've got Smoltz on my DL nearly ready to join the rotation, not to mention I'm well over my IP limit projection.

As a result, I'm thinking of trading a starter for a reliever to improve my ERA and WHIP while providing some saves (I'm dead last in saves, trailing the next guy by 10)

14 category roto style

My pitchers are: Billingsley, Lackey, Price, Wandy, Harang, Cain, Oswalt, Smoltz
My RP are: R Soriano, Morrow

My question is this, which pitcher should I try and move? Was thinking Harang or Wandy for a Fuentes type player, but I'm not really sure.

Thanks in advance!

I would try to trade Wandy before he loses anymore value.

I would move Wandy or Cain.

Cain's everyone favorite poster child for being lucky so far.

Wandy's pitching out of his head.

Harang got shelled his last time out, which has happened about once every 3 starts for him. I'd wait for him to get one more good start, then move him.

Deal Cain. I know he has always been a good pitcher, but suffered because of a lack of run support in years past. he has been lucky with run support this year, so look for his numbers to return to normal. deal em' now!
