I'm trying to buy low on Upton and I also need steals. So I get Upton and I give up Jackson. Jackson's been stellar (and Upton's been terrible) but this seems like a real reach to me. Reminds of the situation I was in with John Danks. His era was in the high 2s/low 3s for most of the year, but I couldn't trade him to save my life. He just didn't have the track record to back his success. Jackson's the same way.

Yes, this is a perfect example of buy low/sell high. I like this deal for you, even though I'm a happy Edwin Jackson owner myself, I'd do this deal in a heartbeat.

You spelled ridiculous wrong. And trades shouldn't be vetoed unless there is collusion. I think BJ will continue to be a disappointment...not THIS bad, but not what everyone wants him to be. That said. Jackson is pitching great, but I think this could work out for you. Or, look at someone like Bourn, who is quietly hitting pretty well and will run run run.
