Trade: HanRam, Wright, Lincecum... WHIR!!!

Postby JeepCop » Wed Jun 03, 2009 1:18 pm

This is a 10 team H2H (non-keeper) league with standard scoring. I'm currently in last place. :~(
I have been offered the following:

His:
David Wright
Alexei Ramirez
Josh Johnson
Ryan Franklin

for

My:
Lance Berkman
Hanley Ramirez
Tim Lincecum

This seems like a bit much, right?

I initially offered him: Brandon Phillips, Chipper Jones, HanRam and Randy Wolf for Pedroia, Wright, Alexei and Josh Johnson.

Here's my last place squad. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Sit tight because it'll get better, or make a move?

C Brian McCann (Atl - C)
1B Lance Berkman (Hou - 1B)
2B Brandon Phillips (Cin - 2B)
3B Chipper Jones (Atl - 3B)
SS Hanley Ramírez (Fla - SS)
OF Hunter Pence (Hou - OF)
OF Adam Jones (Bal - OF)
OF Shane Victorino (Phi - OF)

BENCH
Jerry Hairston Jr. (Cin - 2B,3B,SS,OF)
Nate McLouth (Pit - OF)
Garrett Atkins (Col - 1B,3B)
James Loney (LA - 1B)

SP Cole Hamels (Phi - SP)
SP Tim Lincecum (SF - SP)
RP Brian Wilson (SF - RP)
RP Mike González (Atl - RP)
P Clayton Kershaw (LAD - SP)

I think you're offering too much. I know you're probably panicking because you're in last but you can find a better deal..

Hey bro thanks for the help with mine! I would not make this trade, you are certainly giving away too much.

Hell no, do not do this. Remove Hanley and Alexei from the equation and you have a much more balanced trade. Nearly even, I believe, though losing Lincecum would hurt.

Peace,

I agree with above - you are giving up way too much. I actually like your team a lot, and other than A. Jones, almost every one of them is either performing or underperforming, and a number of them (e.g. Ordonez, Berkman, etc.) could have big second halfs. Unless you could get a much better deal, I would sit tight.

Also, thanks for help on mine.

Thanks for your help with mine.

If I were you I would hold tight on that deal.. You can find better for Lincecum and HanRam. Wright would be nice but the supporting package just doesn't cut it.

In addition, I'd drop Hughes immediately because he just got bumped from the rotation for Wang.

Looks to me like your team needs help in the power department. Pick someone in the league that needs some speed (victorino?) and get a power bat.

Don't do the trade.

good luck
