H Ram/ Sizemore trade

Postby Rhinochasers » Wed Jun 03, 2009 6:33 am

12 team 5x5 h2h keeper league, we keep 8
I was offered H Ramirez and F Liriano for Sizemore, B Phillips, Jurrjens. I have at least 11 keepers going into next year so I was going to try to get HRam(or another top 5) in the off season for a 2/3 for 1 but the owner wants to trade now. I am tied for second and he is 0-8 in last.

H Ram is playing banged up but Sizemore could be out for 2 months. Without me listing the teams what does everyone think about this trade. H Ram would take over for Tulo and A Hill for Phillips. I can then move Tulo, Schumaker, Burriss or I Stewart(if he gets his head out of ass) over to MI. For OF I can slide J Upton from Utility and I have Dukes, Fowler, S Hairston for Utility or OF.
sorry for rambling

thanks in advance

you understand that liriano could be sent to AAA after his next start dont you? basically, if liriano keeps his act up, you are trading three players for one.

Yeah I read that. It was pretty much the 3 for 1 and I told him to throw Liriano in. I was hoping he would rebound before or after he goes to AAA.
I am really on the fence with this trade because I would love HRam and I can not keep all the guys I have but I do not want to hurt my chances of winning this year. I am not sure if it would hurt my team now but it will definitely make my team stronger going into next year. I already asked him to wait to the off season but he wants to pull the trigger now to shake up his team. I know he has a couple other offers but mine is the best, even with Grady banged up.

any more opinions much appreciated

My guess is if you don't accept the Hanley trade now he'll trade him elsewhere. There are likely owners in your league willing to offer more. If I'm trying to win now I'm trying to replace a nicked up Sizemore anyway.

Don't love it but don't hate it. I'd possibly try and get a somewhat serviceable SP besides Liriano but if he won't budge you may just have to pull the trigger.

help with mine? viewtopic.php?f=26&t=388407&p=3096482#p3096482
