Upton/Damon too much to give up for Beltran (Redraft) WHIR

Postby Magnus_CA » Wed Jun 03, 2009 12:15 am

12 Team 5x5 Roto, Redraft

I'm in first place and in dire need of SB's. The offer is as follows:

My Justin Upton and Damon for his Beltran

I know this doesn't help my SB situation but I'm getting the best player. I know Upton is going to cool off but how much is the question.

Should I make this deal?

Leave a link and I'll help you in return!!

This trade seems to be chasing your tail. Like you said, it doesn't address your team need.

However, I believe seeking out player upgrades in 2-for-1 or 3-for-2 deals, so I would probably make this deal.

I like Beltran. But his overall numbers leave a bit to be desired and there's that injury thing. Damon has been very good this year and Upton is playing up to his level. You have no good replacements on your bench and this would leave you with a hole. What would you pick up?

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to try moving Upton, Damon or McLouth straight up for Ellsbury. His team is ravaged with injuries so he actually wants 2 OF for Beltran, but he also wants HR's, which he'd get with any of these guys.
