Medium Sized Trade - WHIR

Postby yanks0826 » Tue Jun 02, 2009 10:17 pm

A guy in the league wants a closer, so here is what we came up with:

I give him Valverde, Luke Scott, and Gavin Floyd

I get Rios and Joba

Do I do this deal? I am looking for a SP that will get me some Ks.

WHIR! Leave a link.

I actually think Joba will run out of gas after about 130 innings this year, I'd be hesitant to watch a 23 year old go way beyond his previous career high in innings.

I'd keep Floyd over Joba for K's for the remainder of this year.

Thanks for the help on mine.

i think you are getting a steal. luke scott's 6 HR last week are a complete fluke. granted he has shown solid power in the past (23 HR in ~475 AB in 2008), but he isn't the second coming of pujols and could easily be on waiver in a month. joba will have his ups and downs but he's still a legit SP with ace upside. im not the biggest fan of rios, but he's still a legit top 5-6 round OF. Valverde is banged up and you never know when he'll actually come back. Even if he were healthy, i'd do the deal.

thanks for the help with mine

I think you are getting a steal too! I would pull the trigger on this one all day. Joba is better than Floyd even if he does run out of gas later in the year and Rios for Scott and Valverde is definitely in your favor. I really like this one.

please see mine again if you have time and comment on my last post, thanks.

Rios side for sure... Valverde is nice but the other two are not so much.

Please help if you can.

Rios and Joba. And it said Rios was 'struggling' yet he's still racking the points. In case you haven't noticed he's heating up GO GET HIM.

I would easily make this move for your sake. Who knows how Valverde will be and Joba is more valuable than those 2 combined. Then there is the Rios for Scott part, I'll let you decide there

I like it, I think. Rios has been picking it up. I'm still not 100% sold on Joba, but he definitely has the K potential.

Thanks for the help with mine.

If the other owner is ready to sign off on this, I say do it immediately. Rios is going to be fine and I've always liked Joba (his last outing was excellent!). Scott is going to be a bust.

Help with mine?
