I am not sure on this offer? Peavy is better than Beckett but Markakis is better than Ibanez. I do think Ibanez will put up solid numbers throughout the season. His HR will slow down but Ibanez should still hit 300+avg with 100RBIs.
Is the deal worth it or should I just stand pat?

Here is my team: 10 Team Head2Head 5X5 (redraft) C:Posada 1b:Berkman 2b:Phillips 3b:Reynolds SS:Rollins OF:Braun, Crawford, Ibanez Util:Lind BN: Ordonez, Atkins SP:Peavy, Grienke RP: Soria, Papelbon SP/RP:Danks, E. Jackson, Downs BN: C. Young, Scherzer
I would take that deal. Peavy rarely stays healthy all season plus he could be traded any day which puts a question mark on his value depending on where he goes. Beckett has been looking good and isn't that far behind Peavy. Markakis is a stud and a much better bet to keep things going all year long.

I am in the minority here. I am just not a Beckett believer. Sure, I love Markakis, but I also see Ibanez ending up around 35/110. Sure, that's a little short of the pace he's on now, but I believe in him.
Agreed with others. I'd take it...Peavy's road splits are pretty bad outside Petco and if he gets dealt (especially to Philly) his numbers *could* plummet. Beckett has been pitching great lately too. I see Ibanez and Markakis as a wash.
Markakis has only 1 SB so far and that's discouraging. Thing is though is May is his worst month (I think). And he really gets it going for the remainder of the year. Though I think Beckett is a downgrade from Peavy and hard to trust with injuries as well. Not to mention if you take into account his history with flukish injuries and blister problems. Yes he pitches for a winner but I'd like Peavy even more if he got dealt to a winning team. He'd instantly be a top 3 pitcher. Ibanez is no slouch himself, I think I might keep what I got for now. Top pitching is so hard to find. Markakis is a great player. He's slumped a bit but still has a 290 BA and 40 RBI which ain't hay. 8 homers I'd look for that to improve rather quickly. Let me say this much: Ibanez quietly produced a solid major league career. He might never have hit more than 33 HR in any one season, however he's never had A) Lineup protection like he has now and B) A great home park to hit HRs (just look at how many of his homers have been at home?) -- Remember most of his career was spent in safeco field with little lineup protection to speak of.
I will second or third the response to keep what you got. You have a very good team minus a good hitting 3b (there's power there). Ibanez is a good hitter I think you need him in your lineup.
I would stay put.
The only way you make this move if its a keeper. Then I would.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
I just think Ibanez will produce just as well as Markakis. I don't think Ibanez will have a major drop off. Peavy is better than Beckett and both are injury concerns. Maybe I am wrong but time will tell.
I asm currently in 2nd place in my league and only 1/2 game out of 1st place. Yeah it's early but all I have to do is stay in the pack and make the playoffs!
