Risky: Grady/Bedard for Quentin/Hamels? Def - WHIR

Postby richiro » Tue Jun 02, 2009 7:17 pm

I'm giving up the Grady side. I know trading injured players is always a shot in the dark, but is the downgrade from Quentin to Sizemore worth the upgrade of Hamels to Bedard? I also am I believer that Hamels turns his game around pretty soon.

I personally wouldn't do it. Quentin is very injury prone and could very likely get hurt again. a healthy sizemore is a monster and i think bedard will keep it up this year.

Thanks for the help on my Berkman/Braun trades. Very helpful.

I actually like the deal. Grady is a bit over-rated in my books, take away 20 SB's and he's a 8-10th rounder. Quentin hopefully will be better once he rests, but you never know with foot injuries. Hamels is much better than Bedard and more of a sure thing.

If you can handle the drop in steals, I like it. Gutsy.

You'll definitely be losing SBs, but Sizemore hasn't shown the kind of consistency you want this year. It's not a sure-thing for you, but I don't think there's anything wrong with the trade.

Thanks for the help on mine.

I wouldn't do it....Hamel is better than Bedard but I really don't trust Quentin. He really only had 1 good year and seems a bit fragile!

Thanks for the help with mine!

I wouldn't do it. Grady is much better than Quentin in my opinion and Bedard is having a nice year. I would stay put.

I got a trade involving Quentin in the works too. I'm concerned about the foot issue, things like that can linger. I don't think the gap between Hamels/Bedard is enough to offset Grady/Quentin. I got both Quentin and Sizemore and both have been very frustrating so far, but I think Sizemore is going to turn it around once his elbow issue is solved.

Sizemore could net you more, stay away.
