Is it worth it?

I've been trying to trade a starter for a reliever all year. Would you trade Wainwright for Hanrahan if this was your staff:

SP-Greinke, Gallardo, Wandy, James Shields, Wainwright, Ubaldo, Danks (Kelvim on DL)
RP-Street, Downs, Hawkins, Izzy

I need a full time closer as Izzy is not closing at all and Hawkins will only hold the job until Valverde gets back. Am I not getting enough here? I just don't seem to be getting any other offers.

Not worth it. Especially since you already have two ok closers, no need to trade a good SP for a closer that isn't better than what you already have.

After thinking about it, I declined. Hanrahan's team is so bad that there aren't enough save opps to make this worthwhile for me.

Good choice on not taking it. Definitely not worth it. Hanrahan may not even be the closer all season and the team is so bad there may not be a ton of save opps.....

Post FAs.

Izzy I'd drop him quick.

clearly almost overpaid for some saves. sit tight, many closer jobs will open up within the month.
