Garrett Atkins: expectations for rest of the year?

The guy looks totally screwed up in the head right now. He's not even hitting the ball hard. It's like weak grounder weak fly ball over and over and over.

Atkins to AAA?

According to the Denver Post, Rockies third baseman Garrett Atkins could soon face a demotion to Triple-A.
"There comes a point where we have to make a decision," manager Jim Tracy said Wednesday. "We are to the third of June now, and we are talking about getting to the point of a couple of hundred at-bats." Atkins has hit just .188/.264/.273 in 176 at-bats. Ian Stewart would make sense as his fill-in.

Just read the AAA thing also. They should send him there for a while. His chances of even a 18 HR, 70 RBI season are waining fast. I think he will end up somewhere in the 12 HR, 55-60 RBI, .250 range.. He is just as bad as Papi this year!
