What's up everybody? Just like everyone else, I'm struggling with what to think of David Ortiz after this wicked thrashing he's taken the first two months of 2009. Clearly, he's not right, but is he worth taking in this deal?
I have Ryan Ludwick and Corey Hart on my bench with Soriano/Granderson/Sheffield manning the other two OF spots and DH. But I need pitching… Liriano, Harang, Kazmir and Nolasco have murdered my pitching staff. I've got Greinke too, but that really isn't enough to offset the carnage.
So, do I take Ortiz and Lackey for Carlos Lee and hope Papi bounces back? Or do I hold onto my stud OF and hope for a better deal? Help!
I'll certainly help in return - leave a link!

I think you hold onto Lee. There has been no sign of Ortiz turning it around at all. Lee is a GUARANTEED 30 HR 100+ RBI guy. It sucks waiting around for a guy to turn it around, I started this year with Alexie Ramirez, JJ Hardy, BJ Upton, Ricky Nolasco. Keep Lee.
Hey man I would not make this move. Carlos Lee is always solid and Ortiz is finished. Lackey might bounce back but I would not take the chance, just not worth it.
I wouldn't do the trade. Ortiz is done. If you really need pitching and don't mind dealing from your strength in the OF, look for a 1-for-1 trade with lee and see if you can get a better pitcher back instead
