Boston scored a run in the first to get DiceK off to a start...
I started to wonder if he could win a game this time maybe.
Then he gave up a run in the bottom of the first right back. ERA with 2 outs: 13.5, WHIP: 6.00. Ya, I'm glad I didn't start him again.
He got out of the inning with no further damage.

you may miss out on 5 innings, 1 earned run and the win.

He only had 3BBs with 6Ks. he still threw 96 pitches but it was one of his better outings. i think hes finally back to full strength

i agree. the damage done from the wbc has finally run it's course, or so it seems. you should have started him!

That doesn't make sense. The knock on the WBC is that it makes pitchers tire earlier in the year because of those extra few weeks of pitching, not that it causes slow starts.

Rocinante2: you know
Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team

He went on the DL with a fatigued arm because he pitched more innings in the WBC than any other major league pitcher, with japan winning. That means a boat load of extra pitches for Dice-K, but after some rest and a few starts to get his rhythm back, hes returned to where he should be at this point in the season.
